Larry Deeb, MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Deeb is a is a Professor of Pediatrics at Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida and is the PI for TrialNet Pathway to prevention at the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Physician Partners Endocrine, Obesity and Diabetes Center. Dr. Deeb is actively involved in type 1 diabetes NIH TrialNet. 

Dr. Deeb is practicing pediatric endocrinologist and diabetologist with board certification in pediatrics and endocrinology and has been providing care to children with type 1 diabetes from the Northwest District of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama for 43 years. Dr. Deeb has dedicated his professional life to caring for individuals with type 1 diabetes through direct care, research, and service including serving as President of the American Diabetes Association.  Dr. Deeb participates in Industry studies including those focused on insulin and diabetes devices.

He also serves as president of the life for a child USA charity which helps supply over 50,000 children with diabetes insulin and other diabetes supplies in 46 developing countries around the world.
